Growing up so fast

I have a million updates to do but tonight I'm going to go out of order and do this one first.

Makenzie is growing up over night. Seriously she is my 7 year old going on 20. I say 20 cause she occasionally has her teenager moments and the diva inside comes out. But honestly she has more adult moments. This girl amazes, inspires, and moves me. She truly is wonderful. You would be amazed that she is only 7 with the way she cares about people. Sometimes even people she doesn't really know. She can hear a story of what is going on with friends of mine she hasn't seen for a long time or seen ever and she is immediately thinking of ways to help. The other day she asked if we could sale lemonade and give all the money to my friend Janette (also amazing) that is currently battling cancer. I told her we would definitely do that in the summer. She is going to make some man the luckiest in the world one day and some children the luckiest in the world one day. I was watching The Help and Makenzie wanted to watch it with me. She asked me if things like that really happened and I told her yes it did... don't want her to know it was actually much worse just yet. She thought that was horrible. She said "I wonder how they could talk to people so rude and not feel bad." I don't like she'll have to experience the bad side of some people one day cause right now I love the bubble she lives in. But I am also so proud to know that I have a child that will stand on the RIGHT side of situations.

She's doing FANTASTIC in school. Reading faster and faster. Right now she loves Junie B Jones she has read all of them. She's moving on to Judy Bloom books now. She loves reading and math. She LOVES school. She's having so much fun at dance especially since her best friend Brynlee is in class with her. She's still the best big sister you've ever seen to Lucas. She loves Kayden more than anything too but they are in the close in age fighting stage. Hopefully they get out of that soon.

Makenzie, I am so proud of you. You are a wonderful daughter and human being. You're beautiful on the inside and the out and I thank god for you every single day. I love you so much.

Kayden went from being my baby boy to my big boy over night. He is getting more and more independent. He is absolutely the best big brother you have ever seen. He loves Lucas I think more than anyone. My mom told him she was taking Luke home with her and she said how do you feel about that and Kayden replied "NOT GOOD." He helps me out so much around the house. He just offers frequently. He hugs me randomly and I get I Love You's all the time. I love him so much.

He is also doing great in school. He just started the advance reading program (following in his sisters footsteps) the teacher said he's a grade and a half ahead on Math (like Kenzie) and he's made so many friends. It's a very proud moment for me as his mom when I volunteer at the school and see who he chooses to hang out with. He's got high standards and excellent taste. I couldn't be more proud.

Kayden you are one of the best sons a mom could ask for. I hope Luke takes after you in so many ways. I know he will because he looks up to you so much and likes to mimic all that you do already. I thank god for you every day. I love you so much.

Lucas is growing up and already a toddler. It is so hard all the milestones when I know it's my last. I love watching all the new stages but I feel like it is going by too fast. I love that I get to be the one to be with him all day and take care of him. He has such a big personality and is so FUN!! He hates taking the kids to school and LOVES picking them up. He looks at Kenzie and Kayden with total admiration. I thought Kayden was the definition of boy at Luke's age but now having Luke he is absolutely the definition of boy. Kayden had a softie side. Luke is just rough and tough. He loves everything boy. His football and soccer ball are his favorites right now. He likes to throw it at ya as hard as he can and man he has a arm. I can't wait to see him and Kayden play sports. He's going to be two soon and I'm just trying to enjoy every second of having him all the time cause they get to school years faster than you expect.

Lucas you completed this cute little family we have. I love you so much. I love waking up with you everyday and hanging out with you every night. You're big on Grandma Pam and Daddy but I know you love your mommy too. You run around saying mom most the day when you want something. You drag me to the couch to watch your favorite movie which right now is how to train your dragon. You will pull me by the arm to the couch and then push me to sit down. It's so cute. Then you climb up on my lap and are content the WHOLE movie. I love those moments. Luke you are truly precious. I thank god every day for you too. I love you so!

6 Years

Happy Birthday Kayden. I cannot believe you are 6 years old today. It has gone by so much faster than I want. But I love every second of it. You are one truly amazing, handsome, sweet, genuine, loving, sensitive little boy. My life and daddy's life would not have been the same with out you. You light up any room and are so much fun for me to spend day and night with. I am so grateful for the amount of time I get with you and love being your mom. I love you so so much Kayden.

Jotting Things Down!!

Makenzie at 7 Years Old!

You are smart, kind, and wise beyond your years!! You are so loyal to your friends. You treat people they way you want to be treated which I love about you. It takes some people years to learn that trait if they ever do. Makenzie you are the most beautiful little girl on the inside and the out. I am loving this stage with you. You're in school all day, you come home and do your 20 minutes of reading, you then get in the shower to get ready for bed because you can't wait to go back to school the next day. You're so independent which I love and hate. You don't need me as much as you used to which is kind of hard for me to get used to. Thursdays you go to school then to dance so I don't see you til I pick you up from dance cause you ride with your best friend right now Brynlee. Brynlee is sleeping over tonight and hearing you two in your room playing barbies and laughing hysterically all while dancing is WONDERFUL. Reminds me of me and my best friends. You're still as girly as ever and I don't see that changing but I do love it. You are quite the protector of your brothers and think of everyone else most times before yourself. I love you so much. I'm lucky to have you!!

Kayden at ALMOST 6
Tonight we watched the last Harry Potter together cause you hadn't seen it. When Harry died I looked over at you and saw two tears rolling down your cheek. Kayden this is one of the reasons that I KNOW how lucky I am as a mom. I love the sensitive side to you. I love how you teared up with Optimus died in Transformers 2 or with Harry in the last Harry Potter. I love how you start running to class and every day stop half way turn around wave to me and blow me a kiss. I love how you can't wait to see me when you get out. The way you are with Lucas oh my gosh Kayden he will feel like the luckiest little brother in the world. You let him climb all over you and he is in a rough stage he will try to beat on you and you are just so incredible. You are patient and loving and playful. He frequently climbs on your lap and lays down during movies and you just let him never even a little bothered. You are smart, sensitive, and so so sweet. I love you so much! I love the influence you have on Lucas. He adores you as he should and you adore him as you should. There is nothing that could make me feel more like I am doing a good job as a mother.

Lucas at ALMOST 2
You are rough, tough, and think your invincible. You're into everything right now and get so excited every time you figure out something new. You know right when to give me a hug or plant a big slobbery kiss on me. You get so excited to pick up Kayden after Kindergarten and then again to go back and pick up Kenzie from first grade. You LOVE your family. You don't like to be out of your comfort zone but you are less clingy to me then the other two were. I expect lots of broken bones seeing how you think you can get on top of the kitchen table and jump to the couch. You keep things so interesting and fun here. I couldn't have lived with out you. I love you so much Lucas and you have brought out the best in all of us.

Love of Reading

I am so grateful that my kids love to read and I hope and pray that never changes. I never liked to read and often times did book reports based on the back of the book. (Shh..) But so far Kayden and Makenzie LOVE it and I think Lucas is on his way!! Aren't they cute? They love Barnes and Noble. Seriously considering getting Kenzie a Nook the girl reads super fast.

I love my INSTAGRAM app!! Can't you tell from below.

Day 8

This is going to seem like something weird to be grateful for but I'm so thankful that I don't take myself too seriously and that I'm not a high stresser. Life is short and should be fun. I am grateful to know who I am and who my children are and I don't spend time obsessing over everything especially the little things!! Makes life easier.

The Land of the FREE

I am so grateful to live in America. You really don't realize how good we have it until you see what it's like in other places. I am proud to be an American!!

Life

Today I am grateful that my life has been so different then I thought it would be. The way it was planned out in my head at the end of high school got completely rocked upside down. I am so grateful for it. It seems to work itself out some how. Married to my best friend with three kids I can't get enough of.

Day 5 Friends

We have some of the best friends people could ask for. We love all of them. Our weekends would not be the same without playing fun board games and adult conversations with all of them! I am grateful for whenever something happens they are the first ones there or to call. The few times we've been to the ER this year or when Josh was in the hospital or when Luke was born and in the NICU. They were always right there as we would be for them! Thank you.

Halloween 2011

Our Halloween season started out with a trip to FRIGHTMARES!! One of our favorite things to do. Of course daddy had to work all of Halloween so we missed him.

Halloween Day

We did our usual and went to my Mom's house. We decided to go up the canyon and take some pictures while we still had the gorgeous Fall colors. I love how they turned out.

TRICK or TREAT

Then it was time for some trick or treating. I have the easiest son. I always hate Halloween cause I don't understand spending so much on a costume they never wear again. So Kayden wanted to make his and Lucas's zombie costume. Since I don't really take them out at Luke's age I thought that would be fun. So they were both zombies. Luke went to a couple houses and was done.

Day 4

Sometimes it's the little things...

I am grateful to have a comfortable, warm, happy and healthy home! We're watching movies and making hot chocolate for family night tonight and I am so thankful that we have somewhere to cuddle up together and spend time together as a family. I pray for everyone to have this in their life!! SIMPLE THINGS!

Month of giving thanks!!

I feel like we should always give thanks but I do love this tradition to start on my blog also. Today I'm starting it off with the most important people in my life. The people that make me who I am. My family. I love these people more than I could ever say. Josh inspires me with his heart and love for everyone. He's willing to help people in anyway he can. He looks at his kids with absolute pride and joy in his eyes. He loves me and makes it known frequently. I love the man I married so so much. Makenzie is my princess that makes my life extra girly and fun. She's the cutest little priss ever. Kayden is my mama's boy I always wanted with a rough playful side. He makes life fun and is my one I can count on frequent hugs and kisses from. Lucas is my cute little WILD child. Rough and tough and ALL boy. He is so fun and playful. My mom is the most amazing mom that has absolutely became the most amazing grandma and my best friend. I love my dad more than he knows and he is a driving force behind me because I want to make him proud. My brother is my best friend and has always been someone I look up to very much. Thank you all for being here for me all the time and choosing me. I couldn't be luckier.

Pinterest Ideas

So I am hooked on pinterest. If you haven't been on it yet send me your email address and I'll send you a invite. SO while I was browsing through pinning a million different ideas I came across this one. "Taking a picture of your daughter in your wedding dress to use on her wedding day" Of course Kenzie and me had to do it. She never says no to getting all dressed up and taking pictures, she makes it all very easy on her mama!! They turned out better than I was hoping for. So So Beautiful. I love every one of them.
